The High Commission of Canada in New Zealand in Wellington provides consular assistance to Canadian citizens in New Zealand and in American Samoa, the Cook Islands, Fiji, French Polynesia, Kiribati, Niue, Pitcairn, Samoa, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Wallis and Futuna. The High Commission of Canada to Fiji in Suva does not provide consular services.

Under the terms of the , Canadians may seek emergency consular assistance at the Australian High Commissions in French Polynesia, Kiribati, Samoa, Tonga, and Tuvalu.
While passport and registration forms are available from these offices, passports are processed and issued in Wellington only. Where possible, the use of online versions of passport forms and registration is encouraged. Questions pertaining to citizenship, passport renewal and other routine matters should be directed to the High Commission of Canada in New Zealand in Wellington.
